We were recommended to Gallery Fiskur by our hosts at our hotel (Heidmork). We went for lunch on our arrival in Iceland - we were the only customers on a Tuesday lunchtime, but it didn&#39;t matter one jot! The place was lovely, the service was helpful and attentive and the food was FANTASTIC!

On business, wanted to have a great solo seafood lunch, someone recommended this restaurant &quot;for an experience of a life time&quot;. They were right. I wanted a variety, and they could not have been more accommodating. So I had several specials, knowing I would be leaving food. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fish chowder was a beautiful combination of fish that left me savoring it spoonful by spoonful. The Salmon and Artic Char (2 specials) grilled perfectly, with accompanying salads. The bread, prepared on the premises, had a wonderful crunch and flavor enhanced by delicious Icelandic butter. I consumed my entire meal to my surprise, but unfortunately had no room for the several delicious desserts available. The people at adjacent tables raved about the desserts. The staff were very attentive throughout. I need ask for anything, as the glasses were always full, the wine superb ,,, I will be back!

The sea baron The delicious lobster soup is a special experience with Icelandic skewers. The overall taste is salty. The first attempt at whale meat is unforgettable for life. I feel that I only eat 6 cooked pork liver, which cannot be aftertaste!
